Volunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way
Team Members
We would love more help in any of our sessions – you don’t have to help every week, any time is appreciated!
Beavers (6-8 years)
Sessions on a Tuesday & Wednesday evening during term times
Cubs (8-10½ years)
Sessions on a Monday & Thursday evening during term times
Scouts (10½-14 years)
Sessions on a Tuesday & Wednesday evening during term times
Outline: Team Members are adult volunteers who assist the Team Leader in delivering the programme to young people in Scouting.
Appointment requirements: Complete a DBS (police check). During the five months of you joining there are some online training modules to do i.e. safety, safeguarding etc
Main tasks you could help with:
- Running games and activities
- Assisting young people to achieve badges and awards
- Assisting with residential experiences
